Two-leg bridle
Drag the bridle point or type the measurements. Leg lengths, tensions and angles update as you go, with the math worked by hand underneath.
Drag the bridle point, or focus it and use the arrow keys (Shift for bigger steps).
Working it by hand
Leg tension = load × leg length × other side’s horizontal ÷ (span × drop)
Left = 500 × 15.0 × 12.0 ÷ (21.0 × 12.0) = 357.1 lb
Right = 500 × 17.0 × 9.0 ÷ (21.0 × 12.0) = 303.0 lb
Leg length = √(horizontal² + drop²). Left: √(9.0² + 12.0²) = 15.0 ft

Correct: Both legs carry less than the load.
Measurements
0 when both beams are the same height. Negative if the right beam is lower.
